My name is Kyle Okaly. I'm a Los Angeles-based composer who has done work for film, games, and web videos with a background in programming and degrees in music, new media, and computer science. Check out some of my work below.

About
I grew up in Rahway, New Jersey with three primary interests:
- Composing/performing music
- Filming/editing terrible homemade movies with friends
- Programming/playing video games
Eventually I realized that I most enjoyed a combination of these interests: composing music to fit the dramatic needs of film, games, and visual media in general. After receiving an MFA in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago in 2011, I moved to Los Angeles to write music full-time.
At Columbia, I studied with Andy Hill, our program director and former vice-president of music production at Walt Disney Studios, as well as award-winning composers Hummie Mann, Mike Reagan, and Ron Fish. Since then I've assisted other composers (including Christophe Beck, Rob Simonsen, and Mychael Danna) and composed music for several short films and games.
