A short piece for string section and woodwinds that I composed and mixed. I was instructed to give the first 45 seconds a pensive feel and the last 45 seconds a more active feel.

A scene from the movie Rendition that I composed a score to in a style based on Maqam Kurd. It was written for ney flute, oud, tonbak, and santour (with an added drone).

Flesh and Blood

Each of the twelve students in Columbia College Chicago's Music Composition for the Screen MFA Class of 2011 composed a score to the same short scene, which was written, filmed, and edited only a few weeks before the performance of all twelve scores at the end of the semester. I later edited the video and audio recordings of the concert.

Alexander Janko Film Scoring Master Class

In April of 2009 I attended a Film Scoring Master Class with Alexander Janko, Hollywood composer and orchestrator best known for his score to My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I was selected as one of three participants to rescore a scene from the movie. All three versions were then analyzed during the class.

A 2D puzzle-platformer in which the player must phase between two planes of existence. The "phase shift" sound effect I created begins the title theme.

A musical I wrote/composed/filmed/edited about a physics test. Contains four original pieces and a few short musical clips I created for different situations. Audio created/edited in Reason and Pro Tools, video edited in Final Cut Pro.
